  when you claim that some impossible account from the bible is true are you doing so because of evidence and honest reasons or simply because you want it to be true?

  if the evidence your claim is based upon ends up being proven false would you stop making the claim?.

  if your claim is based only on wishful thinking then you are being dishonest with yourself.

  everyone has different views about life after death and whether or not it is a possibility.. as jehovah's witnesses, we were always taught that there is no life after death, that this is the only life we have now and that the wages of sin is death.. .

  You can't prove evolution is true either or that we all came from a primordial soup......or that the universe doesn't have an intelligent designer....science would suggest that it does......so many things we can't prove...so little time!

  hmmmmm.....lets see......Well for starters his real name is Hugh Laurie....and just in case you didn't realise this.....he is an actor.... tee hee hee

  I did enjoy that series though.....along with Boston Legal. Two of my favourites.

  By the way....I think the title in this thread and many of the comments on it are a wonderful example of ignorance and arrogance

  "wishful thinking"

  "being dishonest with yourself"

  "focused wishing"

  "any assumption" makes the term completely meaningless in any religious context."

  (actually science uses the word assumption repeatedly when supporting evolutionary theory)

  In whose humble opinion are all these statements made? I'm not sure why some people think they are always right. But I know that with pride comes a fall.

  Hi Trans....I think I need to print that one out to and sit down with a coffee to go over it with my bible.

  Which manuscripts are they extracted from? Is it possible that since none of the manuscripts we have can truly be called the original that the name was altered by the copyists? I know this puts the whole bible in question. But is it a valid question?
